Barcade

Micro brew and retro arcade games? That is the premise of Barcade, 2 year old establishment that can be found in the warehouse-turned-artist district of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY. Barcade's popularity among Williamsburg's 20- and 30-somethings reflects a wider trend in the video game industry — "retro" games are back as parents introduce their offspring to the beloved games of their youth. The Barcade is so Generation Y / Web 2.0 that it also has it's own MySpace page and Flicr account. They also have a very nice The Making of Barcade, which is a visual chronicle of the transformation of a warehouse into the Barcade. So stop in for a pint of Fresh Chester Pale Ale and a game or two of Donkey Kong.
