Harley Davidson Inspired Wine

V-Twin Vineyards has announced the release of its first wine called V-Twin Zin, a 2004 estate vineyard Zinfandel. The wine is a bold red made from estate picked grapes from Sonoma County and aged in French and American oak. This is another interesting mash up of cultures that could have very nice synergy. The typical biker is now in there 40s and 50s, with steady careers and families with a growing passion for the finer things in life - including good wine.

The company is trying to foster an online community, the “Easy Rider Wine Club,” that allows members to post photos of their bikes, share news and information. You can purchase V-Twin Zin from their website or from a local distributor however the current list of distributors is quite limited [as in blank, but I'm sure updates are coming soon]. You better hurry because the 2004 vintage is limited to only 300 cases.

Currently they are operating as a virtual winery, doing custom crushing and blending however their plan is to have a public tasting room in the not so distant future. I look forward to the day they have a posh tasting facility with a dozen hogs parked out front and a room full of bikers trying V-Twin Zin, Softail Chardonnay, Low Rider Red or Screamin’ Eagle Merlot.
