New wine thermometer

Nuvo Vino announces the first wine thermometer designed to quickly and accurately measure the temperature of the wine itself. Designed with a patent pending retractable sensor, which keeps the sensor free of dust and lint to ensure accurate results, no lens cap to remove and it only takes one hand to operate.

While being able to measure the wine's temperature without making contact with a sensor is an excellent method of measurement does the typical wine drinker need this level of actuary when enjoying a glass of Shiraz? I can see a market for this top-end product in a wine bar or high-end restaurant but not in the average home. Perhaps the Nuvo Vino Lite is in the works for the average Joe.
