The New Napa?

Premier Pacific Vineyards, a strategic vineyard development and management company, recently purchased roughly 500 undeveloped acres on Eastern Washington's coveted Royal Slope. They also have two other Washington tracts under contract and are eyeing more purchases in the state's elite grape-growing areas. Could this be a signal that Eastern Washington is the next hot grape growing region?

PPV have been developing property for almost 10 years and what makes them different
from many other vineyard development companies is they are typically developing properties without signed contracts from wineries. Developing this way is counter intuitive for most land developers however this has worked very well for PPV in the past as they focusing on the eventual need for high-end grapes and the scarcity of potential hillside or bench land on which to grow vines.

Perhaps PPV will create a new high-end wine region in Washington State and if you ever dreamed about a vineyard view from your own home, this could be the place to build.
