Brewing at Chelsea Peir

Located at Pier 59, the Chelsea Brewing Company has nice view of the Hudson river and is fairly isolated from the rush of New York City. Located next door to the famous Golf Club at Chelsea Piers, which features a 4 story driving range down pier 59. The brewery features a standard pub menu and a relaxing marina view but the thing I liked best was the beer, of course. Tried the Chelsea Summer Solstice Wheat which is a 50% wheat and 50% barley unfiltered ale. I really enjoyed the blended wheat and barley taste it is was a nice change of pace from the rest of the summer brews that I have tried. If your in the neighborhood, stop in and have a pint [or two]. It just might encourage you to take a few swings at the range next door.
