Wine.com Top 100

In an attempt to take an alturnative approach to a top 100 list, Wine.com put there list together strikly from the customers purchasing preferences. Their top 100 list reflects the top 2 percent of wines sold nationally on Wine.com during 2007. Seventy-five are priced below $20, and well-known premium brands such as Silver Oak, Caymus, Veuve Clicquot, Jordan, Rombauer, Grgich Hills and Conundrum also made the list.

"We wanted our first-ever top 100 list to be unique," Rich Bergsund, Wine.com's CEO, said. "Many publications rank wines based on the opinions of their wine critics. We wanted our customers to be the judge, voting with their wallets to determine the Wine.com 100."

The top five best-sellers on the list include:

  • 2003 Hogue Genesis Cabernet Sauvignon [$19.99]

  • 2004 Sticks Chardonnay [$13.99]

  • Cristalino NV Brut Cava [$8.99]

  • 2004 Big House Red [$11.99]

  • 2004 Veramonte Primus [$19.29]
