Wine flavored ice cream

Mercer's Ice Cream has released its wine flavored to a select number of restaurants in New York City. This central New York dairy got the idea for wine ice cream several years ago when Mercer's officials were working Pride of New York product fairs displaying ice cream next to their counterparts from area wineries. After about two years of product development, Mercer has created ice cream in three different flavors: Ala Port Wine, Peachy White Zinfandel and Red Raspberry Chardonnay.

Hopefully their newest creation will become a national product so the rest of us can enjoy what is sure to be a unique way to finish off a great meal. Oh and by the way the ice creams each have an alcohol content of five percent so don't forget your ID when your ordering dessert.
