Virginia-First in Wine

Welcome to Virginia-First in Wine: An American Tradition in Winegrowing Since 1607 is the media campaign launched by the Virginia Wineries Association. The main goal of this new marketing campaign is raise awareness of the industry within the state where Virginians are demanding escapes and weekend getaways. Why not take an excursion to the Virginia wine country tasting, touring, visiting any of the 110 unique wineries, where they learn about winegrowing, winemaking, and Virginia wine.

This might be a good tie-in for the Virginia Wine Festival being held on September 15 and 16th. The festival is being held at the Morven Park Equestrian Center in Leesburg featuring 60 Award-winning wineries, gourmet cuisine and over 130 arts, crafts and gourmet artisans. Sounds like a fun couple of days in Northern Virginia.
