Cable Guy Beer

The wine industry has been riding a wave of celebrity brands [like Gretzky or Aykroyd] or names that are sure to catch your eye [like Fat Bastard or Royal Bitch wine] so why shouldn't the beer industry be any different?

SchillingBridge Winery & MicroBrewery has launched a beer for one of America's most recognizable rednecks: Larry the Cable Guy. Git-R-Done beer, named for the comedian's famous catchphrase, was launched last Saturday, in the town where the 44-year-old actor-comedian grew up. The owners of the small family winery say the light beer is made from high-quality ingredients with more "flavor and body" than popular corporate beers.

We are looking forward to the new wave of brews which will include silly names and major celebrity names. Will it be long before you see The Playboy Beer called The Huge Hef-eweizen?
